![]() NOTE: Ensure Visual Studio is up to date when installing this version of Visual Micro.To convert old projects to the new format please see the instructions on this page. New projects show the text "(Arduino)" to the right of the project name in the solution explorer. Older Visual Micro projects still require the Windows desktop C++ workload that must be manually installed via Tools>GetTools. Visual Micro now installs the Linux Workload into Visual Studio. The new format provides excellent intellisense. Tip: VS Users: New projects will use a new project format but are still just standard. If you are using Arduino 2x IDE backend with Visual Micro and are looking for the libraries that install with the 1x IDE? Look in Library Manager for the "Built-in Libraries" node, installing the "built-in" will install the libraries. ![]() If install does not run then > Right click Open With > Visual Studio Version Selector.
